I joined FaceBook because one of my friends invited to. I really have no affinity with FaceBook and am slowly working out how to use it and what to do with it.

I like the fact that I can interact with my friends, send them gifts or even poke them to see if they’re still there. I like some of the applications as well. I’m raising my own pet dragon (being a real Anne McCaffrey fan, this is great).

The Family Twist that I alluded to in the title of this post is simple. My son saw me “playing” with my pet dragon and decided this was cool and immediately got his own FaceBook account to raise his own dragon. My daughter wasn’t far behind. My daughter is a little more interactive than my son and has installed several of the FaceBook games already. One of them is SuperHeroes.

Now, she and I “battle” each other, each day. We’re having a bit of fun doing this. Next, I suppose she will send her pet dragon after me!

The thing is, that they have been able to join in my online activities and manage to give me some “downtime” in the process. It’s all harmless fun.

Check out my FaceBook account at: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=678859370. It’s a bit of fun.
