Software piracy is a serious thing and should be treated as such. Yesterday morning, I signed up to a new Giveaway event tagged as Jokebox Giveaway. It is being run using the Giveaway Manager 2 software, an awesome piece of code that Brad and Guido have spent considerable time, energy and money on developing and implementing.
This morning, I received an official announcement from the creators of the Giveaway Manager 2 software, stating that they believe the code to be stolen and that further investigative actions were being taken.
Brad and Guido knew on the day of release of GWM2 that they had been “done over”. A party had decoded their payment buttons and stolen the code. Whilst they had made an announcement to the effect that the code had been stolen, not once did they mention names.

Stuart and I have been working with both our children to coach them into their own online business. We have for many months been trying to encourage them to do this, but after our sojourn to the World Internet Summit in March 2008, we have become more persistent with the two of them.

Twitter is probably my favourite communication tool. It is a social tool and is allows me to communicate with a wide group of friends, across the world. Even the 140 character limit for tweets doesn’t faze me, I have learned how to be succinct!
Today, I learnt of another tool in the Twitter tool kit that allows you to track a conversation about a particular topic. With all the conversations going on across Twitter, it can be hard to keep up with a conversation on one particular topic. By adding a hash tag (#name) to your Tweet, you can use Twemes.com to track the conversation, no longer how it goes for.

Scott Drake, from Marketers File Vault, has blogged about the fact that some Marketers are packaging together older products and marketing the package as “new”.
O.K, admittedly the package is new, it is the first time that those products have been offered in that configuration. However, a purchaser could be forgiven for expecting new, or updated, products in the packs.

On Wednesday 14 May 2008, Stuart and I headed to Sydney to receive training from Pat Lovell, Sean Roach, Robert Puddy and Ryan, the “big guns” of the Rip2It team, on the Rip2It package that we are proud owners of.
Rip2It is a package that consists of products and services to generate 3rd Party Residual income. Rip2It was created originally by Pat Lovell to take advantage of Pay-Per-Click Earnings, in approximately 2003. The premise of a Rip2It site is that it is a BillBoard site for a specific niche. Billboard, in that it provides useful information about the topic being searched for and products to fill that need. The site is populated with Pay-Per-Click ads, as well as third party products from Clickbank and Amazon (too name two providers), as standard.

I have to say that I am a big fan of Giveaway Events. I initially signed up for my first Giveaway Event about 12 months ago (I’m certain it was Stephanie Mulacs Self Improvement Gifts) to find free information, and to my surprise, products.
I was trying to work out this Internet Marketing game and I’m not even sure how I found the event, but I did and signed up.
From there, I worked out I could become a contributor and put up something of my own and start building my list. So, starting with a list of zero, I did! My list is now more than zero, certainly not as large as I would like it, but I did it mostly
with Giveaway events.

On April 29, I reported that just using Twitter as a mechanism to increase your blogs rankings in the Search Engines wasn’t going to work, simply because the Twitter links are marked “No Follow”.
So, to continue my SEO experiment, I left my blog running and turned on pinging services. The results are far more interesting.
